Musk\'s Terafab takes shape as SpaceX eyes up to $119 billion investment
Elon Musk\'s planned mega semiconductor plant in eastern Texas, dubbed Terafab, could draw investment of up to $119 billion. SpaceX plans to invest at least $55 billion in the first phase, according to a public hearing notice in Grimes County. The site is under review and SpaceX has sought a property tax abatement agreement. Terafab is designed to supply chips for SpaceX, xAI and Tesla, with Intel joining to support design, manufacturing and packaging.

Intel points to wider sales of lower-grade CPUs as AI-driven demand lifts Q1 results
