Socar merges two corporate plans, adds always-on discounts

Socar said on Tuesday it has revamped the business profile pricing plans of its corporate membership service, Socar Enterprise, to boost demand from business users. The company simplified its previous four plans into two, Basic and Plus, and introduced always-on additional discounts instead of issuing monthly discount coupons. The payment price bands remain unchanged, while new weekday and weekend discounts apply depending on the plan.

South Korea\'s industry ministry begins work on five-year semiconductor master plan

South Korea\'s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has begun drafting a legally mandated five-year master plan to strengthen semiconductor industry competitiveness. The ministry said it held a kickoff meeting on Sept. 1 to discuss policy directions and cross-government tasks for 2027 to 2031. The plan is based on a special law and enforcement decree that took effect on Aug. 11. Experts will refine proposals through four subcommittees, with final confirmation expected within this year.

Cardano down 93 percent, but influencer says he will buy more ADA

Cryptocurrency influencer and Gokhshtein Media founder David Gokhshtein (데이비드 곡슈타인) reaffirmed a bullish stance on Cardano and suggested he could buy more ADA. He replied on X to a user urging others to avoid Cardano and XRP: “I’ll buy more — thanks.” Cardano is down 93.66 percent from its September 2021 high of $3.10 and was around $0.1966. Some market participants say a return to $3.10 would require fresh demand and continued ecosystem growth.
