E-bikes can save about 1.4 million won a year by replacing a second car
Electric bicycles are drawing attention as an option to cut overall car ownership and operating costs, beyond low charging expenses. An analysis cited by Electrek said replacing 4,000 miles of driving a year with an e-bike could save about $900, including roughly $520 in fuel and about $400 in maintenance, while charging costs were estimated at about $17. Additional savings may come from reduced paid parking and avoiding a second car.
