Cohere CEO warns AI models could become most powerful cyber weapon ever
Aidan Gomez, CEO of enterprise AI company Cohere, warned that AI models are emerging as what could be the most powerful cyber weapon yet, capable of finding and exploiting security vulnerabilities at scale. He said companies should use AI defensively by first identifying and fixing weaknesses in their own systems, calling it the top priority for safety. Separately, calls are growing to slow AI development, with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei urging labs to reduce the pace of capability gains.
