Salesforce drops \'Agentforce\' from some key product names ahead of annual conference
Salesforce is removing the term “Agentforce” from some key product names ahead of its annual customer conference Dreamforce next week, The Information reported, citing two people familiar with the matter. The company had positioned Agentforce as central to its sales and marketing strategy since launching it in late 2024. The reasons for the name changes were not clear. Agentforce annualised revenue exceeded $1.5 billion in the quarter ended in July.

Salesforce unveils Agentforce Help Agent with performance-based pricing
Salesforce on Wednesday unveiled Agentforce Help Agent, a tool designed to reduce the burden of building and operating AI agents for customer service. Built on the Agentforce 360 Platform, it uses a company’s customer response policies and business information to handle inquiries and support case management. Salesforce also highlighted a pay-per-resolution model, charging only when an AI agent resolves an issue end-to-end, and introduced the Agentforce Customer Service Portal.

Salesforce integrates Claude with Slack and Agentforce 360
Salesforce said on Wednesday it has enabled two-way integration connecting Anthropic\'s AI assistant Claude with Salesforce\'s collaboration tool Slack and AI agent platform Agentforce 360. The integration was implemented through Anthropic\'s Model Context Protocol, which standardises access to external data and tools. Users can search Slack conversations in Claude, draft meeting agendas or plans and automatically share documents back to Slack. Salesforce said the model runs within its Trust Layer.
