Synology unveils DSM roadmap and APM 2.0 with private AI, says data control is key
Synology on Tuesday unveiled its next-generation DiskStation Manager (DSM) roadmap and ActiveProtect Manager (APM) 2.0 at a Computex 2026 press briefing. Chief Executive Philip Wong said the key issue is data control, and that the next DSM will provide an AI-ready platform allowing organisations to keep control of their own data. DSM adds internal, on-premise AI functions, while APM 2.0 shifts data protection toward pre-incident detection and expands coverage to major cloud and virtualisation environments.
