Korea media watchdog urges stronger youth safeguards for AI chat services amid sexual content concerns
South Korea\'s Korea Communications Standards Commission on Oct. 21 urged AI chat service operators to strengthen measures to protect adolescents after cases involving sexualised character information and conversations describing sexual acts. The commission held a cooperation meeting with 15 AI chat service companies in Seoul to discuss distribution of explicit content and protection steps. It called for stronger detection and blocking of illegal and harmful information, clearer separation and labeling of adult content, and regular safety checks to prevent bypassing identity verification.
