AI agents earn money as Nexth's Multiroyale rewrites the rules of gaming

Nexth's AI agent battle platform Multiroyale had more than 4.1 million participating agents as of 9 a.m. on March 8, about a month after service began. The platform features AI agents that compete without human control, while users watch. After a Feb. 27 update, in-game currency MOLTZ became a blockchain token issued on the CROSS network, enabling paid and free modes with on-chain rewards. Nexth is preparing a portal to lower barriers to participation.

Hanpass seeks first overseas remittances IPO amid Middle East uncertainty

Hanpass, a mobile overseas remittance platform targeting foreigners living in South Korea, is pursuing a KOSDAQ listing after winning preliminary review approval from the Korea Exchange. It plans to use IPO proceeds for overseas expansion, service upgrades and new products, including an app for visitors and a loan comparison service. Revenue rose to 55.3 billion won in 2024, though it said accounting changes boosted the figure. It also outlined planned investments in Japan and Australia.

HiteJinro expands beyond core soju and beer under Jang In-seop

HiteJinro is expanding its portfolio under new CEO Jang In-seop, moving beyond its core soju and beer business into flavored soju and non-alcohol products. It launched "Ddujjongku Hyang Aisul" and applied for a "Terra Zero" trademark that includes non-alcohol beer categories. The company also refreshed Jinro and cut its alcohol content to 15.7 degrees. HiteJinro maintains stable sales centered on soju, but it is pursuing broader strategies as the domestic market slows and global ambitions grow.
