Elice Group said on Monday it has been selected as a GPU resource supplier for the "2026 AI research computing support project" led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP).

The 15.3 billion won project supports cloud-based high-performance GPU infrastructure so researchers at domestic universities and research institutes can research and develop large-scale AI models and generative AI.

Elice Group was selected as one of multiple suppliers. It plans to provide high-performance computing resources, AI training and development environments, and operational and technical support.

The company will also use its own AI cloud infrastructure based on its experience carrying out national GPU leasing projects. It will provide a modular AI data centre (AI PMDC), cloud infrastructure virtualisation ECI, the AI development environment Runbox, data management DataHub, and model deployment ML API.

Elice Group plans to supply high-performance GPU resources to researchers from July this year to March next year. It also plans to support cluster configurations that connect multiple GPUs through a high-speed network.

Elice Group CEO Jaewon Kim (김재원) said, "This is the result of recognition of our experience operating large-scale AI infrastructure and our AI cloud technology capabilities spanning from hardware to software platforms." He said, "We will provide stable services so domestic industry-academia-research researchers can focus on research and model development rather than building infrastructure."
