Shinhan Investment Corp has partnered with art fractional investment firm Together Art to expand the number of platforms covered by its fractional investing account management service to 4.

Shinhan Investment said on Tuesday it will provide Together Art users with services to open and link securities accounts needed to subscribe to fractional investment products.

It will also take on the role of an account management institution that keeps investors’ deposits in separate accounts. It plans to strengthen investor protection by distinguishing operators’ funds from investors’ deposits.

Together Art is a subsidiary of art auction company K-Auction. It runs a subscription service in the form of investment contract securities that lets investors invest small amounts in high-priced artworks, and has offered 10 artworks so far.

Under the partnership, the number of fractional investing platforms for which Shinhan Investment provides account management services increased to 4, including Together Art and Bankcow, a Hanwoo fractional investing platform.

It is also working with 3 platforms that issue non-monetary trust beneficiary securities, including Musicow, Galaxia Moneytree and Apanda Partners.

A Shinhan Investment official said the firm will expand partnerships with fractional investing platforms and support related services. The official said it will improve customer access and convenience in line with the institutionalisation of token securities (STO).
