Kakao Entertainment said on July 29 that its affiliate Kakao Creative Foundation will hold the 20th "Grow Up Talk and Talk" on July 31 to share working writers' firsthand creative experience and practical know-how with aspiring creators.

"Grow Up Talk and Talk" is a free offline lecture program created by Kakao Entertainment and the Kakao Creative Foundation to support the growth of aspiring creators who dream of creating intellectual property for story content. Since its first lecture in 2024, working creators in a range of cultural fields such as webtoons, web novels and music have taken part as speakers.

This lecture features 3 writers who have built a firm presence while driving million-seller success in the webtoon and web novel fields. The event will cover practical directing strategies and methods for designing entertainment drawn from real writing and planning processes, beyond simple theory.

The first session will be led by webtoon writer Neida (네이다). Neida, who handled storyboards and artwork for the romance fantasy webtoon "Ebony," a KakaoPage million-page record title, and took part in storyboard work for the fantasy webtoon "SSS-class Suicide Hunter," will speak on "a practical webtoon directing strategy meal kit you can take out and cook right away."

The second session will be led by web novel writer Kim Jia (김지아), who wrote "I Got Trapped on a Deserted Island with the Male Leads." Under the theme "How to use minor themes in the romance fantasy genre," Kim plans to share stories based on real creative experience, from series planning that raises views and continued readership beyond initial entry barriers to practical know-how from a working writer.

The final session will be led by web novel writer Park Tae-seok (박태석), author of the popular web novel "Taming Master," which has recorded 120,000,000 cumulative views. Based on his experience writing and planning multiple works including "Capitalist Streaming of the Rice-earning Hero," "Star Chef, Served with Regression," and "The Regressed Ranker Is a Genius Sharpshooter," he will lecture on "methods for designing entertainment by male-oriented genre."

A Kakao Creative Foundation official said the lecture would be a meaningful opportunity for aspiring creators who dream of story content, as writers who are actively working in webtoons and web novels will directly share their creative experience and know-how. The official said the foundation plans to continue supporting their growth by consistently providing high-quality education programs that offer practical help to aspiring creators.
