Spain's Multiverse Computing said on July 27 it raised $570 million, about 500 million euros, in a Series C funding round.
The valuation of Multiverse Computing rose fivefold compared with its Series B funding round in 2025.
The investment was co-led by Forgepoint Capital International, BNPP SIVF and Bullhound Capital.
Multiverse Computing's core technology is its AI model compression technology, CompactifAI. CompactifAI uses tensor networks used in quantum physics to cut the size of large language models by 80 to 95 percent while minimising loss of accuracy.
Multiverse Computing explained that this can allow high-performance AI to run in environments where cloud connections are difficult, such as smartphones or factory equipment.
Co-founder and CEO Enrique Lizaso (Enrique Lizaso) said, "The existing constraint that powerful AI models require expensive infrastructure is no longer valid."
