[DigitalToday reporter Sangyeop Oh] Samsung Asset Management's exchange-traded fund (ETF) and fund platform FunETF is expanding into a global investment information service by adding lookup and comparison features for U.S.-listed ETFs.
Samsung Asset Management said on July 27 it introduced detailed information on ETFs listed on U.S. stock markets and a product comparison service on FunETF.
After the update, users can check information in the FunETF application on about 1,140 Korea-listed ETFs and about 5,500 U.S.-listed ETFs.
Samsung Asset Management also newly introduced a "U.S. ETF Theme" service that lets users track trends in the U.S. ETF market. The service updates U.S. ETF market trends daily and provides themes that drew high interest in the New York stock market the previous day and related ETFs.
Samsung Asset Management explained it carried out the service overhaul to reflect growing demand for overseas ETF investment information.
A Samsung Asset Management official said, "With the introduction of this service, we have improved domestic investors' access to global investment information," and added, "We will continue to enhance the FunETF service by reflecting investment demand."
