Samsung Electronics Service received the industry’s top evaluation in the home appliance after-sales service (AS) category for a second consecutive year. The Industrial Policy Research Institute said on Tuesday it selected Samsung Electronics Service as the winner in the home appliance AS category of the 2026 National Service Awards.
The National Service Awards are an assessment programme backed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, among others. An operating committee made up of industry experts and academic judges reviews outstanding companies by category. Samsung Electronics Service received high scores for service value and customer satisfaction. It was also rated highly for leading the development of the AS industry by introducing differentiated services in line with changing customer demand.
Samsung Electronics Service introduced its Blue Pass service in line with growing demand for home appliance subscriptions. The service includes an "AI pre-care alert" and a "one more service". The AI pre-care alert uses AI to analyse the status of products connected to SmartThings and notifies customers of abnormal signs. It covers 11 products and 24 symptoms, including air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and robot vacuum cleaners.
The one more service provides an additional free check-up of 1 other Samsung Electronics product the customer is using when an engineer delivers a subscription visit care service. Eligible products include air conditioners, washing machines and TVs, and it also provides guidance on how to use the product and consultation on management tips. Samsung Electronics Service also operates its Samsung Care Plus Home Appliances/TV service. Customers can choose options including a comprehensive inspection, filter replacement and professional cleaning.
Lee Cheol-gu (이철구), head of CS Support at Samsung Electronics Service and a vice president, said, "I sincerely thank our customers for their support, which has enabled us to be selected for the National Service Awards for a second consecutive year. We will continue to innovate our services and provide a differentiated experience."
