[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee] Woori Financial Group Chairman Lim Jong-ryong (임종룡) will visit Japan and Taiwan to engage with global investors. He plans to explain the launch of Woori Investment & Securities and the acquisitions of Tongyang Life Insurance and ABL Life Insurance, and to present a medium- to long-term growth direction based on shareholder return policies and capital strength.

Woori Financial Group said on Sunday that Lim will visit Japan and Taiwan from June 22 to 25 to conduct overseas investor relations.

The investor meetings were arranged to directly explain Woori Financial’s medium- to long-term growth strategy, capital policy and direction for shareholder returns to global investors. Lim plans to hold one-on-one meetings with major investment institutions in Japan and Taiwan and share management strategy and measures to enhance corporate value.

Lim plans to explain that Woori Financial’s capital strength and growth foundation are being strengthened in a stable manner even as external uncertainty and market volatility continue.

Expanding the non-bank business is also a key topic. Lim plans to present a strategy to diversify the group’s earnings base by expanding its portfolio across securities and life insurance, and to strengthen its full-service financial group structure.

He will also stress shareholder return policy. Woori Financial has pursued capital policy to enhance shareholder value, including implementing tax-free dividends for the first time among domestic bank holding companies. Lim plans to express his commitment to maintaining the shareholder return stance while comprehensively considering market conditions.

A Woori Financial official said Japan has strong interest in enhancing corporate value and shareholder returns, and Taiwan is a market with abundant liquidity from a boom in AI and the semiconductor industry. The official said the visit is a strategic move to expand the investor base and identify new investors.
