Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 said on Thursday cumulative downloads of its font service have exceeded 15 million. The free fonts are available for online business operators and creators. The milestone comes about 6 years after the service launched in August 2019.

As of January 2026, cumulative downloads stand at 15.79 million. The compound annual growth rate for 2023 to 2025 was about 35.61%.

Cafe24 currently offers 33 fonts. They can be used for shopping mall product pages, banners, subtitles and logos. The lineup ranges from calligraphy styles that emphasize readability to handwriting and serif families, allowing users to apply them to match brand character, it said.

Strategic launches tied to its services and global commemorative days also drove download growth. After introducing typefaces exclusive to its premium service, Cafe24 Pro, it launched pet-themed English fonts for World Dog Day and World Cat Day to attract global users.

Cafe24 fonts are provided under an OpenFont License, allowing commercial use by both individuals and companies. They are being used across a range of fields including broadcasting, advertising, film, performances and education.

“15 million downloads mean Cafe24 fonts have established themselves as a trusted design asset across the industry,” said Kwak Hyungseok, executive director and head of Cafe24’s commerce platform team. “We will continue to introduce typefaces that can strengthen online business operators’ brand competitiveness.”
