Hancom sells stake in Hancom Inspace, secures 31.9 billion won

Hancom said on Wednesday it has completed the sale of its stake in Hancom Inspace and secured 31.9 billion won in cash.

Hancom will invest the funds to expand its overseas customer base. It has declared a shift into a “sovereign agentic OS” company and plans to strengthen its global business expansion.

Hancom said it also decided to contribute shares to an employee stock ownership plan to support Hancom Inspace’s future growth and IPO push, and to encourage employees who contributed to technology development.

Hancom CEO Yeon-su Kim (김연수) said the sale of Hancom Inspace was a meaningful achievement that realises investment gains while securing resources to expand its AI business. He said the company will focus the funds on securing global customers for its agentic OS and generate tangible sales and results in overseas markets.
