Toss Bank said on Thursday it has obtained the status of a treasury receiving agent directly linked to the Bank of Korea.

With the new qualification, Toss Bank can also handle treasury refund and repayment work, in addition to its existing treasury payment services.

Toss Bank has provided services since 2024 that allow users to check and pay treasury bills, including national taxes, customs duties, National Police Agency fines, penalties and patent fees. With the new qualification, it strengthened its treasury processing system through a direct linkage with the Bank of Korea.

The scope of services has expanded beyond receiving treasury funds to include receiving refunds and payments. Customers can register a Toss Bank account as the refund account when applying for treasury refunds or payments from the National Tax Service, the Korea Customs Service and courts, among others. Earned income tax credits and child tax credits can also be paid into a Toss Bank account.

A Toss Bank official said the bank will continue to expand services so customers can use public financial services, such as tax payments and receiving refunds, more easily and steadily.
