Salesforce said on Tuesday it will connect its AI agent platform Agentforce with Google’s Gemini Enterprise. The link will allow AI agents to be deployed immediately in Slack and Google Workspace.
Users can use natural-language requests in Slack to structure information dispersed across Google Slides, Docs, Sheets and PDFs to create reports or shared materials. With Gemini Enterprise integrated directly into Slack, it will also offer Google Meet transcript creation, conversation summaries and integrated search across apps.
In sales, Agentforce Sales will work with Gemini to automatically handle responses to potential customers, write meeting briefings, detect contract risks and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems in real time.
On the technical side, the companies applied a zero-copy architecture that uses data in real time without moving it. Agentforce will natively support Gemini models through Salesforce’s Atlas Reasoning Engine and will integrate analysis of text, image and video data.
More than 1,400 customers are currently using Gemini within Agentforce. South African retailer Pepkor integrated Salesforce data with Google BigQuery to consolidate 64 million customer data points into 24 million and expand personalized marketing customer touchpoints by 25 percent, Salesforce said.
Karthik Narain (카르틱 나라인), Google Cloud’s chief product and business officer, said it will enable companies to securely connect data spread across platforms and accelerate the delivery of business results.
Srini Tallapragada (스리니 탈라프라가다), Salesforce president and chief engineering officer, said the partnership with Google Cloud will serve as a foothold to speed customers’ shift to an "agentic enterprise." Park Se-jin (박세진), head of Salesforce Korea, stressed it would support domestic companies in building autonomous operating systems more quickly and securely.
