Channel Corporation, which operates the all-in-one AI business messenger Channel Talk, said on Jan. 5 it has hired Lee Kyung-hoon, head of Japan venture capital firm Global Brain’s Korea office, as vice president and chief AI officer (CAIO).
Lee graduated from Kyoto University in Japan. He worked at Boston Consulting Group and generative AI startup AKA before serving as head of Global Brain Korea from 2018 to recently, overseeing Korea-Japan cross-border startup investment. He has also served as an outside director at large language model solution company Allganize and robot AI model development startup Realworld.
Lee plans to activate Channel Corporation’s AX (AI Transformation) organisation and advance AX transitions for the company and its clients. He also plans to focus on strengthening competitiveness in the Japanese market.
Lee said, "I am pleased to join Channel Corporation, which has proven both technological capability and marketability in the AI consulting area." He added, "Based on the experience I have built, I will not only lead AX in the field for the company and its customers’ industries, but also focus on expanding the Japanese market."
