Neptune said on Oct. 29 it has officially launched its published martial arts RPG "Sword God Zero" in the global market.
"Sword God Zero" is available on Google Play, Apple App Store and One Store. It plans to expand its service platform to Steam later.
The game is a new title from Hanga Squirrel Studio, which developed "Hanga Jianghu" and "Sands of Salzaar". "Hanga Jianghu" logged 7 million cumulative downloads globally and 45 billion won in revenue, while "Sands of Salzaar" sold more than 2 million copies on Steam.
Sword God Zero is based on a multiverse setting in which multiple martial arts worlds are connected. Players can explore various parts of the martial arts world centered on "Geomcheon" and progress through hidden realms and stories in each region.
Combat plays out in real time by combining various martial arts techniques such as shinbeop, choshik, bobeop and simbeop. It also applies strategic elements that change martial arts combinations and character placement depending on battlefield conditions.
It also offers swordsman collection and progression content. Players can form a party with swordsmen that have different attributes and skills, such as cold, fire and wind, and take on dungeons and battles against martial arts masters.
Along with the launch, it also unveiled the first pickup character, "Neungseol". Neungseol is a character with combat abilities that freeze nearby enemies using "Pungseol Singeom".
To mark the launch, Neptune will give all users 20 "Giwon" orbs, 20 "Mansangpae" and 30 "Gwanseongnyeong", among other items. Its attendance event will offer additional rewards, including the top-tier swordsman "Jeonan".
On its official Naver Lounge, it plans to provide a special coupon each day for 7 days after launch, offering item draw tickets and stamina, among other items.
Kwon Seung-hyeon (권승현), head of Neptune's game business division, said, "We structured the game around the multiverse setting, real-time strategic combat, swordsman collection and progression, and exploration content."
