Com2us Platform unveiled an AI development environment that can handle game backend integration tasks using natural-language commands alone.

Com2us Platform, a subsidiary of Com2us Holdings, said on Sept. 30 it launched 'Hive Axle,' an AI-focused game backend platform that supports everything from game development to global release and operations and data analysis in a single environment.

Hive Axle provides an all-in-one software development kit and management pages so developers can centrally manage backend functions needed for game services, including authentication, payments, push notifications, mail, coupons and analytics. It also supports cross-platform and major game engines.

It also applies integration with AI coding tools. Developers install a plugin by following guidance on the official website and request needed functions in natural language, and the AI writes the code required for backend integration.

The plugin can currently be used in OpenAI's coding agent, Codex. Com2us Platform plans to gradually expand the AI tools and functions it supports.

Developers can reduce repetitive backend integration work and also use it in the process of moving AI-built games into a live service environment. If needed, developers can also write code directly using existing methods.

It also allows game operations data to be used in a single environment. Developers can analyse key events such as logins and payments, classify users into groups based on the results and link them to targeted campaigns.

Hive Axle also reflects the technology and operational experience Com2us Platform has accumulated while operating its existing game backend platform, Hive. Hive has been applied to global services for about 250 games and has more than 980 million cumulative global users.

Choi Seok-won (최석원), chief executive of Com2us Platform, said, "As AI use becomes widespread, game development has accelerated, and the foundation to support stable operations after launch has also become more important." He added, "We will support developers' global game services through Hive Axle."
