U.S. claims ASML EUV tools in China; ASML denies any sales
The U.S. government has raised the possibility that ASML’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography equipment may have been brought into China. ASML rejected the claim, saying EUV tools have never been in China. The dispute intensified after U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick conveyed concerns to ASML executives. U.S. officials say they have indications parts and transport gear went to China, but have not shown evidence of a complete EUV system there.
