Microsoft eyes composable memory as fix for data center memory shortages
Microsoft is exploring the use of composable memory technology to address memory shortages in AI data centres, SiliconANGLE reported. The approach would pool memory tied to individual servers and allocate it to tasks as needed across Azure. Microsoft architect Samir Rajadnya (사미르 라자드냐) said AI data centres often see GPUs waiting because memory and storage fail to deliver data in time, while memory supply has also tightened as AI demand surges.
