Lab spinoffs\' high-growth rate 9 times higher than regular firms
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Wednesday that the share of high-growth companies among firms founded on research results from universities and government-funded institutes was 9.3 times that of ordinary operating companies. In a survey of 3,850 surviving lab spinoffs less than 10 years old, 19.5 percent of firms with at least 10 regular workers were high-growth. Average employment rose to 9.6 in 2024 and average revenue to 900 million won.

The group held the second Hana One-IB Market Forum to share insights on industrial shifts and promising sectors and to review cooperation among affiliates. Sessions covered Middle East geopolitical risks, market conditions in core sectors and One-IB collaboration cases. Hana Financial raised this year’s supply plan to 17.8 trillion won.

MegazoneCloud to bet on enterprise AI orchestrator by sharing only tested AI strategies
MegazoneCloud set out a vision to act as an enterprise AI orchestrator to help companies resolve problems and confusion from building multi-agent systems. CEO Donghoon Yum said firms will soon run hundreds of AI SaaS applications and customised agents, and warned that multi-agent environments without control systems would lead to serious disruption. The company said it applied AI internally, improved productivity and backed its AI-native strategy with results including its first operating profit and overseas sales topping $100 million.
