a16z to drop \'crypto\' from blockchain fund name, rename it \'a16z Frontier\'
Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) will drop the word \"crypto\" from the name of its blockchain investment fund, The Information reported on Oct. 22, citing sources. The report said a16z Crypto told some limited partners it will rename the fund \"a16z Frontier\" and expand its investment scope beyond cryptocurrencies. a16z Crypto has raised nearly $10 billion across five funds and has recently invested in non-blockchain companies.
