Sony to launch smartphone-connected 3D display in December
Sony has introduced a compact display that allows users to view animation characters and avatars in 3D without dedicated glasses. The company will launch the 6-inch spatial reality display, called ELF-MN1, in Japan on Dec. 11 with an expected price of 54,000 yen. The device tracks eye position to generate 3D images in real time and can connect to compatible PCs and iOS or Android smartphones via USB-C, requiring DisplayPort Alternate Mode and external power.
