TSMC CFO says AI boom is not over as company accelerates Arizona expansion, lifts U.S. investment
TSMC is accelerating expansion of its Arizona plant and sharply increasing investment to meet rising demand for AI chips. The company is adding $100 billion to its Arizona investment, lifting the total to $265 billion, and raised its annual capital spending outlook to $64 billion from $60 billion. CFO Wendell Huang cited strong U.S. customer demand and government support, and said structural demand should persist for years.
