Ethereum staking queue hits post-PoS high as institutions stake instead of selling
Ethereum’s validator queue has recently surged as large investors, companies and cryptocurrency exchanges chose staking over selling their ether amid market volatility. A Decrypt report citing ValidatorQueue data said about 3.4 million ether is waiting to be registered as validators. The queue is among the longest since Ethereum shifted to proof of stake, with waiting times estimated at up to 60 days. The queue has grown from about 904,000 ether in early January.
