Anthropic to roll out latest AI models on AWS Seoul region, step up push into South Korean finance
Anthropic plans to soon introduce its latest large language models, including Sonnet 5 and Opus 5, on Amazon Web Services\' Seoul region and accelerate its push into South Korea\'s enterprise market. The company is also working with AWS to expand adoption in the domestic financial sector. Anthropic Korea head Choi Ki-young said local availability would better meet data sovereignty requirements, broaden use cases for regulated industries and ease concerns about data leaving the country during inference.

Lulumedic launches AWS-based medical mydata platform, deploys healthcare LLM
Lulumedic said on May 18 it has built its AI and cloud-based next-generation medical mydata service on Amazon Web Services. It cited rising demand in South Korea for patients to consolidate and manage dispersed medical records. The company said security concerns and strict compliance requirements have hindered AI adoption. It said it uses an isolated network within the AWS Seoul Region and deploys a healthcare-focused large language model trained on SageMaker AI, with inference run on Amazon EC2.

Salesforce integrates Claude with Slack and Agentforce 360
Salesforce said on Wednesday it has enabled two-way integration connecting Anthropic\'s AI assistant Claude with Salesforce\'s collaboration tool Slack and AI agent platform Agentforce 360. The integration was implemented through Anthropic\'s Model Context Protocol, which standardises access to external data and tools. Users can search Slack conversations in Claude, draft meeting agendas or plans and automatically share documents back to Slack. Salesforce said the model runs within its Trust Layer.
