Chocolate scent linked to better strength training performance - study
A study found that smelling chocolate alone may increase performance in strength training. In tests of 23 healthy men in Malaysia who had done regular strength training for more than two years, participants fasted for about 10 hours and then inhaled dark chocolate, milk chocolate or an unscented control solution before exercise and between sets. Dark chocolate scent raised total repetitions by an average of 18 compared with the control, while milk chocolate increased them by 9.
