Former Ripple CTO points to XRPL weaknesses as overload disrupts log collection
A slowdown in transaction processing on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) prompted a review of the protocol’s structure and revealed weak points, Ripple’s former chief technology officer David Schwartz said. He said the network faces two scenarios that could cripple it: widespread validator server failures or a breakdown of the consensus process or core protocol functions. Monitoring systems failed to record diagnostic data during the incident, forcing a server reboot without a confirmed cause.

CoinMarketCap has added a hidden mini-game to its website that uses bitcoin’s past price movements, after veteran trader John Bollinger discovered and revealed it. The arcade-style game, called “Bitcoin Bird,” resembles Flappy Bird and requires users to guide a bird along a path formed between the upper and lower Bollinger Bands drawn over historical bitcoin charts. Wider volatility changes the band width and affects difficulty.

XRP at dead cross juncture; downside pressure seen if $1.30 breaks
XRP has entered a zone just ahead of a potential dead cross on the daily chart, blockchain media U.Today reported. The token is trading near $1.34 as the 50-day exponential moving average falls toward the 200-day EMA around $1.37 to $1.38. A close above $1.38 could blunt the bearish signal and support a move toward $1.50, while a drop below $1.30 could raise the risk of a test of $1.26 and then $1.20.
