South Korea trade minister visits U.S. to step up response to tariff issue
South Korea\'s chief trade negotiator Yeo Han-koo visited Washington to respond to the Trump administration\'s plan to raise tariffs on South Korea, the industry ministry said. He met U.S. administration and congressional officials, as well as industry figures including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, to understand the background to the tariff move and explain Seoul\'s position. He also held a closed-door meeting with about 20 lawmakers handling trade issues.
