LG Electronics to apply smart factory to world\'s largest tidal power plant
LG Electronics will work with Korea Water Resources Corp to advance AI-based operations and digital transformation at the Sihwa tidal power plant. The partners signed a technical cooperation agreement on Oct. 22 in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. The work includes building an AI tidal power plant, lighthouse factory implementation, and demonstrations of AI, digital twin and robots. LG Electronics will test a digital twin-based integrated operating system and consider AI tools for predictive maintenance, risk assessment and analysis of output losses.
