MSIT to shift main website to AI-friendly format to boost public usability

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will upgrade its main website to an AI-friendly format to improve public access to policy information and ease of use. The ministry will run a project tender through June 10 and expects an AI-friendly web structure to be applied by around October. It plans to optimize web structures such as schema markup, add meta descriptions, introduce Markdown for key boards and provide attachments in formats such as html, odt and pdf alongside HWP files.

AI fact-checking tests of five latest models show 67 percent disagreement

Can AI replace fact-checking? Tests of five latest AI models on 1,000 identical claims found their verdicts diverged in more than two-thirds of cases. Fact-checking service Lenz analysed agreement rates across major large language models and found all five reached the same conclusion in 328 cases, while 672 showed at least one differing judgment. Lenz said the study was not aimed at picking a best model and is running follow-up accuracy research with human labels.

Naver to disclose place star ratings from July, adds on-off option for business owners

Naver will resume disclosing cumulative average star ratings on SmartPlace reviews, aiming to provide a more reliable place-search experience. It will switch accumulated numeric information on Place reviews to full disclosure from July, and from July 9 it plans to show cumulative average ratings and individual user ratings in key areas where Place reviews appear. The average will combine data accumulated before Oct. 25, 2021, with new data collected this year. Business owners will be able to toggle display on or off.
