DoorDash releases dd-cli beta ordering tool for AI agents

DoorDash has started a private beta of DoorDash CLI (dd-cli), a developer command-line tool that lets AI agents order food and groceries directly. TechCrunch reported the tool supports store search, checking discounts and completing payments. Co-founder and CTO Andy Fang said on X that the tool is offered via a waitlist to macOS developers in the United States and Canada. DoorDash said developers can integrate ordering and local deals into their own software.

Google adds app integrations to AI Mode, supports Instacart, Canva, YouTube

Google has added a feature in AI Mode that lets users connect some external apps and continue tasks directly. TechCrunch reported the feature will be applied first to U.S. users, and the supported apps at launch are Instacart, Canva and YouTube. The update expands AI Mode beyond conversational search to handling tasks in frequently used apps. Google plans to increase supported apps through partnerships.

NotebookLM reborn as Gemini Notebook, adds code execution for data analysis

Google has renamed its AI-based research tool NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook and added a code execution feature for data analysis. TechCrunch reported the overhaul is part of Google’s effort to fold AI products launched under separate experimental names into the Gemini brand. NotebookLM was first unveiled in 2023 as Project Tailwind and grew into a service used by 30 million users and more than 600,000 organisations.
