DTC seeks to cut stock registration transfer processing time from days to minutes
The Depository Trust Company has filed a proposal with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to revamp its Direct Registration System with the goal of cutting stock registration transfer processing times from days to minutes. The plan focuses on automating procedures by reducing batch processing and manual steps. Under the proposal, DTC’s securities processing application would automatically create orders and reflect shares in participants’ accounts after approval.

Securitize makes NYSE debut, launches tokenised shares on Solana and Avalanche
Securitize began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SECZ and simultaneously launched tokenised versions of its shares on the Solana and Avalanche blockchains. The company listed via a merger with a Cantor Fitzgerald-backed special purpose acquisition company and said the tokenised securities are the same common stock traded on the NYSE. Access requires registration and eligibility checks, including know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering reviews.

Securitize to list on NYSE, raise $400 million through SPAC merger
Tokenisation infrastructure firm Securitize will raise about $400 million through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II and list on the New York Stock Exchange next week, The Block reported on Thursday. The merger will close on Wednesday, with trading to begin the next day under the ticker SECZ. Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo said tokenised securities have moved into the mainstream.
