Dutch court declares Knaken bankrupt after 7 million euros in lost customer assets
A Dutch court has declared cryptocurrency platform Knaken CryptoHandel BV and an affiliated foundation bankrupt after 7 million euros in customer assets went missing. The Rotterdam court found the company had blocked access to its platform and accounts and lacked sufficient assets to repay users in full, making bankruptcy necessary for an orderly settlement. Prosecutors opened a criminal investigation and filed for bankruptcy on June 30.
