Climate cooling technology fuels new Cold War fears as U.S.-China clash sinks simulation talks

Researchers from the University of Leeds and Queen Mary University of London ran three rounds of talks set in 2025, 2027 and 2028 involving 35 experts. Mistrust grew and scientific advice had little impact, leaving monitoring and verification unresolved.
