PIPC seeks new operators for personal data innovation zone
South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission is seeking new operators for its Personal Data Innovation Zone from Jan. 16 to March 13. The zone manages the full data-processing process under a zero-trust principle and uses safeguards such as dedicated specialist teams, multi-factor authentication and screen recording. Seven operators have been designated so far. The application process includes a state-funded track for public institutions and a self-built track.
