Snowflake to acquire enterprise MCP firm Natoma to support secure AI agent connectivity
Snowflake said on May 29 it will acquire Natoma, an enterprise Model Context Protocol (MCP) platform company for AI agents. Snowflake said the deal will help it build a native integrated governance and identity layer that can access AI agents and MCP tools. It said customers will be able to connect Cortex Agents, Snowflake Intelligence, Cortex Code and other AI platforms to SaaS applications, cloud environments, VPCs and on-premises infrastructure through a validated MCP server library.
