Bitwise CIO says NEAR could hit $155 by 2030 as AI finance infrastructure draws attention
NEAR Protocol\'s NEAR token could rise about 40-fold by 2030, a forecast said. Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at Bitwise, set a 2030 target price of $155.85, with a bullish scenario of $562.81 and a bearish scenario of $1.63. AI agents to serve as front end for blockchain
NEAR Protocol co-founder Ilya Polosukhin said centralised exchanges are no longer needed for most trades, citing NEAR.com, which brings spot trades across chains, tokenised stocks, deposit-yield products and perpetual futures onto one screen. He said the service is close to replacing exchanges but still needs features such as bank withdrawals, tax reporting records and selective disclosure for confidential trades. He also highlighted privacy, expanding fiat links and an AI agent market.

Bitwise lists first U.S. NEAR spot ETF as AI and cross-chain themes gain traction
Global asset manager Bitwise launched the first U.S. spot exchange-traded fund tied to NEAR, which began trading on NYSE Arca under the ticker NRR. The fund is designed to give investors exposure to NEAR without buying the token directly and charges a 0.75 percent management fee. Bitwise plans to stake a significant portion of its NEAR holdings. The launch comes as NEAR has risen sharply and as interest grows in cross-chain trading and AI agent use cases.
