Kakao joins 2026 Korea small business convention to showcase mutual growth programmes
Kakao will take part in the 2026 Korea Small Business Convention on Oct. 23-24 at BEXCO in Busan to present its support programmes for small merchants and regional mutual growth initiatives. It will run a booth featuring Project Dangol, Gotgot and the Kakao Business Boss Community. Kakao will also introduce its regional AI start-up support body, Kakao AI Dot, and showcase its AI service Kanana.

Kakao cut data centre greenhouse gas emissions by 4,753 tonnes last year
Kakao published its 2025 sustainability report and launched a dedicated website to provide related information in one place. Applying ISSB standards, the report examines how three key issues — user protection, information security and climate change response — affect the company and society. Kakao said it cut 4,753 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency at its Ansan data centre and expanded renewable energy procurement.

Kakao recruits fourth cohort for Kakao Tech Campus to train regional talent
Kakao said on Tuesday it has begun recruiting trainees for the fourth cohort of its Kakao Tech Campus programme to train regional university students as artificial intelligence developers. The company will select 150 students from five national hub universities, including Kangwon National University and Pusan National University. The programme integrates frontend and backend tracks and adds a course on agentic AI services. Applications run through April 15, with classes starting online in May.
