SEC commissioner Peirce warns against excessive control of tokenisation market, calls disclosure rules complex
A proposal has emerged within the U.S. securities regulator to streamline corporate disclosure rules and allow limited experiments with tokenised securities. SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said regulators should avoid trying to control markets excessively and should make disclosure requirements more efficient as discussion of tokenised securities grows. She also called for a review of whether additional disclosure duties or broker rules are needed for tokenised securities.
