Krafton chairman Jang Byung-gyu meets India\'s Modi in New Delhi
Krafton Chairman Jang Byung-gyu (장병규) met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Sept. 4 local time to discuss cooperation in games and new technologies. The sides reviewed growth in India’s games, technology and digital entertainment industries and cooperation opportunities. They also discussed ways to support overseas expansion of India-made games and digital content. Krafton said it has invested about $250 million in India and plans additional investment.

KOCCA sets course for overhaul of content industry classification and survey system
Korea Creative Content Agency is pushing to overhaul its content industry classification and survey system to reflect changes driven by platforms, intellectual property and AI. The culture ministry and KOCCA reviewed improvement plans at an expert committee meeting in Seoul on Aug. 21. About 50 people attended. The committee discussed aligning criteria with industry value chains and business structures and updating definitions and survey questions to capture new business models while keeping the system understandable.

JoyCity to showcase Freestyle Football 2 at PAX West 2026
JoyCity said on Thursday it will take part in the North American game show PAX West 2026 in Seattle through Sept. 7, running a dedicated demo booth for its new soccer game Freestyle Football 2. Visitors can try 5-on-5 matches in which five users each control one character, with teamwork and strategy emphasized through different positions and roles. The company also begins a prime open beta test on PC and console platforms.
