TikTok signs MOU with Korea IP Protection Agency to tackle counterfeit K-brand goods
TikTok said on Aug. 28 it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency at IP Week in Singapore on Aug. 26 to protect K-brands and foster a sound e-commerce ecosystem. The agreement targets TikTok Shop and Indonesia’s Tokopedia, which was incorporated into TikTok in 2024, with joint measures against counterfeit distribution. It includes a fast-track system for live commerce reports and cooperation on seller information sharing and support programs.
