SKT to spin off SK Broadband, launch AI data centre unit SK Horizon

SK Telecom will spin off its wholly owned unit SK Broadband to separate its AI data centre business into a new company, SK Horizon, and attract 3.08 trillion won in external investment. SK Broadband will continue wireline, media and enterprise operations, while SK Horizon will run AI data centre infrastructure, including 8 existing centres and projects under construction. KKR and an IMM-Stonebridge consortium will take 29 percent and 20 percent stakes after staged investment.
