LGU+ and IBCT cooperate on Catena-X adoption to help meet European supply chain rules

LG Uplus said on Sept. 28 it signed a strategic partnership with data-space specialist IBCT to support South Korean manufacturers adopting Catena-X and building and operating related systems. The companies aim to help firms that trade with European businesses respond to tighter rules on supply-chain data such as production history, raw material sourcing and carbon emissions. The partners plan an integrated support programme covering consultation, membership, system 구축, infrastructure and service operations.

IBCT completes battery passport platform PoC with SK AX to verify EU regulatory readiness

IBCT, a data space specialist, said on Feb. 9 it completed a battery passport platform proof of concept with SK AX. The project followed a September memorandum of understanding on responding to a global manufacturing data ecosystem. Using IBCT’s Infirium supply chain data management SaaS, the companies validated the battery passport data structure under the EU Battery Regulation and tested battery passport data exchange between supply chains on the platform.
