Can guessing 24 words steal Satoshi\'s bitcoin? Experts say it would take 13.8 billion years
A claim spreading on X said bitcoin believed to be held by Satoshi Nakamoto could be stolen by correctly guessing a 24-word phrase. Researchers said the premise is unrealistic. Even with computing power generating 1 trillion combinations per second, it would take about 13.8 billion years to find a specific 24-word seed phrase with a 50 percent chance. They also said Satoshi’s coins are spread across more than 22,000 older addresses, not a single seed-based wallet.

Tom Lee warns 35 percent of bitcoin supply could be exposed to quantum threat within 3 years
A warning has emerged that about 30 to 35 percent of bitcoin’s total supply could be exposed to quantum-computer attacks in 2028 to 2029. Fundstrat co-founder and Bitmine chairman Tom Lee said quantum computing could undermine bitcoin’s existing security system. He said the crypto industry has no unified response, while the Ethereum and Solana ecosystems are better prepared. Adam Back disputed Lee’s technical claims, saying bitcoin ownership is protected by ECDSA digital signatures and seed-phrase entropy.

Saylor, Adam Back oppose Bitcoin BIP-110, warn changing consensus is riskier
Michael Saylor and Adam Back have publicly opposed adopting Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 110, saying it could harm core principles of the Bitcoin network, U.Today reported on Saturday. BIP-110 would treat arbitrary data, digital artefacts and tokens as spam and filter related transactions at the protocol level. Critics warn some currently valid, fee-paying transactions could be invalidated. Saylor said setting such a precedent is dangerous, and Back warned pushing it without broad agreement could split the network.
