JPMorgan withdraws negative call on Intel, upgrades to neutral from underweight
Intel shares rose more than 4 percent in premarket trading on Oct. 19 after JPMorgan raised its rating on the chipmaker to neutral from underweight. The change ends a negative view in place since November 2022. Analyst Harlan Sur kept a $85 target price, citing reduced downside after a steep decline from June highs, while pointing to improved execution under Lip-Bu Tan. JPMorgan still expects market-share losses and flagged foundry growth as a key challenge.
