WHO lists 8 ways to prevent or delay up to 45 percent of dementia cases
The World Health Organization issued updated guidance saying up to 45 percent of dementia cases worldwide could be prevented or delayed. The second edition updates its 2019 recommendations and sets out evidence-based steps to reduce cognitive decline and dementia risk. WHO grouped prevention strategies into four pillars: healthy lifestyles, management of existing diseases and biological conditions, addressing environmental risks and tailored combined interventions that manage multiple risks at once.
